I grew up in Rural Hall, NC. I began teaching in Lexington City Schools where I taught first grade for 6 years. I married my husband, Rodney, and we moved to Franklin, NC where I taught first grade for another year and then taught 5th grade for 4 years. We moved to Rockingham County in 2006 and I taught second grade at Huntsville Elementary for a year and a half. I came to Bethany in 2008 and I have been the Instructional Coach since then. While working at Bethany I took classes through Duke University to obtain my AIG certification. I have two sons, Evan (19) who is a sophomore at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Josh (15) who is in 10th grade at Rockingham County High School. I also have a four-legged daughter named Lucy.
